Esther Gabriel is a filmmaker, intimacy coordinator, and storyteller with over 15 years of experience directing and producing intimate scenes. Her work spans adult and mainstream media, and she brings a strong ethical foundation and deep respect for performers into every project. After owning her own studio and building a career grounded in emotional truth and creative collaboration, she transitioned into intimacy coordination—an area that aligns closely with her values around consent, agency, and cinematic storytelling.
Esther completed a SAG-AFTRA accredited intimacy coordination program and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Her approach blends artistic leadership with trauma-informed practices, helping actors feel empowered in vulnerable moments and ensuring productions are both safe and emotionally authentic.
Originally from Hungary and raised in the U.S., Esther holds a BA in Film from UNLV. She’s an unapologetic lover of romance stories, a planner with a sharp eye for detail, and a firm believer that good storytelling begins with listening. Whether she's choreographing a scene or guiding a team through sensitive material, she brings clarity, humor, and heart to everything she does.
“I don’t think having an intimacy coordinator is even a choice anymore,” Stone told NPR. “I think in the past five years, the industry has changed a lot for the better. Having her there felt like having both a safety net and a choreographer and a handhold. She and I would text after a day of doing some of these scenes and just sort of say how we were feeling and what was going on. And it was just this really beautiful relationship that I found extremely, extremely meaningful.”
